How to Link Aadhar with PAN

To link your Aadhaar card with your PAN (Permanent Account Number) card, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the Income Tax e-filing website - https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/pre-login/bl-link-aadhaar
  2. Click on the 'Link Aadhaar' button on the home page, under the 'Quick Links' section.
  3. Enter your PAN, Aadhaar Number, and Name as per Aadhaar in the given form.
  4. Verify the captcha code and click on 'Link Aadhaar' button.
  5. If your details match with the UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) database, the Aadhaar-PAN linking will be successful.

Alternatively, you can also link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161 in the following format: UIDPAN<SPACE><12 digit Aadhaar><SPACE><10 digit PAN>.

It is important to link your Aadhaar card with your PAN card to avoid any penalty or legal action by the Income Tax Department.
